Blog terms

Please notice that, although you can practically post any (related to yachting) idea, knowledge or experience you like, if your posting refers other yacht charter agency and/or owner by their name, you should be specific and provide your name and contact details on your thread -otherwise your entry is unacceptable and it will be deleted.  For example:

Last year I've chartered from SuperDuperYachts Ltd a vessel and it was a floating disaster.  At the end, not only they didn't compensated me, but they kept all my security deposit.  Don't ever charter anything from this company

The above post is not welcome and will not be accepted on this blog.  If, instead that, you post:

On the 10.08.2004, I've chartered from SuperDuperYachts Ltd the boat "Titanic" from Southampton.  Although the vessel was much below the standards one expects from a charter boat -she couldn't even take a slight touching of an ice mountain- at the end, they kept all my refundable security deposit, with the silly excuse that I've sunk their boat.

this thread is welcome on this blog.  The purpose of this forum, is not to give step to irresponsible persons to spread libelous all around -hidden behind their anonymity-, but to offer a chance to yachties all around the World, to exchange thoughts and experiences.  If your experience from a company is not good, that is ok and you have the right to express it, but on the other hand this agency has also the right to reply to your thread -and express their opinion about yourself.

The same principal applies for advertising posts.  Direct, like this one:

If you like to find good yachts, visit this site: www.superduperyachts.com

or in-direct and anonymous, like this:

Last year, I've chartered a boat from  www.superduperyachts.com and I was amazed from the quality of the vessel, the price and the care of that company.

If you would like to inform us about your good experience with a company, you are welcome to do so (after all, this is the reason this forum has been made for), but do it by providing us details  - like specific dates, boat's name and your name and details of course.  This way, you will contribute to the yachting community, otherwise you are only advertising.

Please, don't ever forget the following:

  • My will to keep this forum useful and spam free

  • I'm the moderator of this blog, and

  • The fact that the last 25 years I'm chartering yachts.

It will take only three minutes of my time and one phone call, to verify the "honesty" of your post and allow it to be published or not.
