Sailing courses
The RYA’s sail cruising programme is for
those wanting to start cruising, or to
expand their cruising knowledge.
RYA programme comprises a series of
practical courses which are complemented by
navigation courses and other specialist
short courses. You can enjoy them simply to
increase your knowledge and confidence, or
use them as a progression to the RYA/MCA
Certificates of Competence which are
recognised by maritime authorities
worldwide.
Most courses take place
over five days, or a series of weekends. By
taking your course at an RYA Recognised
Training Centre you can expect to be taught
by an experienced, qualified instructor on
board a seaworthy boat with a maximum of
five trainees. Courses can be taken either
onboard a centre’s boat or your own boat.
You can enter the programme at any level,
provided that you have the correct level of
experience beforehand. Be realistic when
assessing your current experience and
abilities and, if in doubt, discuss your
requirements with your chosen training
centre before booking your course. |
