Featured Article: Essential sailing tips
Sailing with a chartered boat is not the same as
sailing your own vessel. First of all, you don't
know the vessel well (one or two weeks charter is
not enough to familiarize you with the technical
requirements and her reaction in certain
conditions). On top of that, there are a number of
facts and regulations related to your destination
country, which you will never face in your own
country.
Therefore, it is essential during your charter to
follow some routines, which will protect you from
facing difficult situations in the harbours or
whistle sailing...

Dear Alexander,
When in my last newsletter I mentioned that the
next one could be "a bit delayed" I didn't had
in mind the whole month. Well, that happened (it
is difficult after a ten-day sailing holiday to
regain the required rythm and discipline of
business momentum to answer the huge backlog of
e-mails and piles of letters) please bear with
me for a few days.
On this month's issue you will find some useful
(in my opinion of course) tips related to
sailing, the presentation of a very nice sailing
yacht designed by Gib Sea and last, but not
least attractive offers from yacht owners for
almost all of June to bring us all into the
usual swing of accelerating activity as the
summer really gets under way.

Featured yacht: Dufour/Gib Sea 43
|
|
Early on this decade Gib Sea and Dufour
merged (actually Gib Sea bought Dufour).
Result is that today both companies
offer the same models (under different
names).
This month I've chosen to present you
the 43 footer, which is not only a very
good vessel to sail with, but she offers
the unique facility of -easily-
converting the front area in one large
owner's cabin or in two smaller ones,
according your preferences.

The best "special offers" for June
|
|
Once more I have chosen two different
"special offers" to present you:
1. The very succesful Jeanneau model
Sun Odyssey37,1 for almost any week
within June, for only euros 850, and
2. An "one way" trip from Lefkas to
Corfu island with the featured boat of
this month, the
Gib Sea 43. Although this offer is
in an extremely attractive price for
this vessel (only euros 1.100, when the
price list for the model exceeds euros
3.000), it is in a certain period and it
will make sense only for those of you
whose holiday are in constrain time. If
you are lucky and belong in this
category, don't miss this opportunity.

Tip of the month |

"Invest in a cruising guide to the
area in which you are cruising or plan
to cruise. It is well worth the money
spent. Cruising guides not only give you
information on navigation, anchorages
and customs procedures, but also
information on things to see and do.
That will make your cruise more
enjoyable."
