The town of Methana is easily identified from some distance off. The
marina lies near the S end of the town.
Care is needed negotiating the narrow entrance into the harbour.
Go stern-to or bows-to the quay on the W or N. Depths of the quay
are variable, between 1,5 - 2,5 m., but if you touch bottom is all
mud. Excellent holding but messy when you haul the anchor up
again. Methana port offers a good all-round shelter.
The harbour and the small town are beautiful, but the smell from the
sulfur rich water is not so nice

- Regular ferry-boat and hydrofoil connection with all the Saronic gulf
islands and Athens (about 45 min.)
- Closest airport is El. Venizelos (Athens airport),
about 25 km. away
