Alimos Marina on the NE shore of the Saronic
Bay, is the largest Marina in the Balkans, with a dominating
position in the Attica Basin.
Is an artificial harbour, shaped as a parallelogram,
which is protected by two breakwaters. The entire interior of the Marina is platformed with nine separate piers
in between. Towards the western side of the harbour basin, there are also some
floating piers, while there is a slide for entering the harbour.
The Alimos Marina has 1,100 mooring
berths.
It serves cabin cruisers exclusively (private and professional) and
recreational craft, as well as certain fishing boats and boats of the
Alimos Nautical Club (NE basin).
The permanently moored vessels amount to 1,100.
At the same time, it serves 378 passing-by, temporary vessels, which are
accommodated in the empty spaces of the permanent vessels, when sailing.

- Regular local buses connect Alimos marina with Athens town centre
(12 km) and Piraeus harbour (8 km).
- Piraeus harbour links Athens with ferry boats and hydrofoils /
catamarans with all the major islands of the Aegean Sea.

about 25 km. away
