Vassiliki was a sleepy little agricultural and fishing village. Now it deals with the summer flock of tourists in its own homespun way, without neglecting the fertile agricultural plain behind the beach. The port of Vassiliki is located in the south-east of Lefkas deep in the large bay of Vassiliki. In the west side of this bay - close to the village Pondi - is a nice anchorage (anchor in 4-8 m).

The actual port is located in the east of the bay and is very shallow. Just stay close to the breakwater. A natural spring favours this part of the island and runs through a washing house at the south of Vassiliki.

Vasiliki offers good shelter although the prevailing wind tends to blow into the harbour, bothersome rather than troublesome.

Connections

A narrow road links Vassiliki to Lefkas town (36 km). Regular bus connection to Lefkas town during summer season.
From Lefkas Town there is regular bus connection with Athens. Local buses link Lefkas with nearby cities, like Ioannina, Arta, Agrinio and Igoumenitsa.
The airport of Preveza (15 km. away) links this city daily with Athens (1hr) and international.
