The enclosed bay with olives around the steep slopes is a picturesque place, though several new clusters of self-catering apartments threaten the character of the bay. The entrance to this harbour is not easily discerned because the buildings and craft inside are not visible.

Depths in front the dock are between 1,2 to 2,0 meters and therefore a bow-to approach is required in some berths. The bottom holds well.

The harbour is safe in the summer, even though the north-westerly wind funnels strong gusts down off the land. The best berths for docking are along the southern dock.

Connections

A narrow road links Sivota to Lefkas town (30 km). Regular bus connection to Lefkas town during summer season.
A national road links Lefkas to Athens (400 km)
Regular bus connection with Athens. Local buses link Lefkas with nearby cities, like Ioannina, Arta, Agrinio and Igoumenitsa.
The airport of Preveza (15 km. away) links this city daily with Athens (1hr) and international.
