Corfu town harbour

Enter in Corfu town Old Harbour from the eastern end of the break water.  The entrance into the interior of the harbour is very narrow - if another craft is exiting it is best to wait.  Entering with a strong northwesterly is difficult.

The harbour provides excellent shelter  in all weathers; the problem is finding a place among the fishing and tripper boats.  Berths for visitors are those behind the windward mole, alongside, two and three deep.  Anchoring is not advised since lines often get tangled with those of other boats anchor facing the shore.

Berthing here you are within walking distance of the town's center.  On the shore road in front of the harbour there is a row of stores with sailing gear, machine shops, boat engine repair services and others for electrical - electronic gear.  Corfu town unquestionably offers the best all-round facilities in the northern Ionian.
