An
outstanding feature of the Greek climate is its ample sunshine. It is no exaggeration to
state that the sun shines over 300 days per year.
Average daytime temperatures in Athens in April are between
20-25 degrees C. (68-77 F.), rising in May by about 2 degrees. |
In June, July and August it warms up to between 25-35 degrees C. (77-95 F.) and in September /
October this drops to 22-27 degrees C. (70-79 degrees F.).
The islands are 2-5 degrees C. below these temperatures and generally have much
more pleasant weather. Water
temperature in the Sea during June, July, August and September average about 24 degrees C.
(72 degrees F.) |
