The village Mourtos is located at mainland
Greece -across the southern part of Corfu island- and it's guarded by the 3
tiny islands of Sivota.
Although the harbour looks well
protected, a swell during the night makes berthing uncomfortable.
Only the west part of the key is safe. |
Even worse is the fact that huge waves from ferry boats crossing Corfu
channel may enter the harbour and damage your vessel on the quay. The
best place to moor is in the channel between the small islands -right outside the
harbour- and visit the village with your dingy or walking (10 min.).
