Parga - click to enlarge Parga Town is a delightful place built down the steep slopes to the water's edge.  It is a beautiful hamlet east of the citadel but not a good harbour.

In summer months it is best to moor on the western side of Valtos harbour, which is west of the fortress and where shelter from all winds except southerlies is good.
The harbour here provides safety but poor holding; it is also difficult to get out of one's yacht because the mole is very high.

A short walk along the seashore leads to the castle and then to the town with restaurants and possibility of provisions.  There are also restaurants on the Valtos shore.  Boats ferry yachtsmen back and forth from the town to the shore..
