Day
1
Alimos marina -
arrival day After taking over your boat, depending on the time of your arrival, you
can visit Athens, rest, go for a swim
or -time permitting- set sails.
Day 2
Poros Town (Poros is.
- 28 nm)
Poros is situated 32 nautical miles from
Piraeus.
This is the longest leg (28 miles), yet,
with the usual NW breeze of the area, it
should be a pleasant
|
downwind sail.
Day 3
Old Harbour (Spetses
island - 27 nm) It is the last of the Saronic
Gulf islands, 53 nautical miles from Piraeus,
with a great history and the privilege of
National recognition for its vital role during
the Greek revolution against the Ottoman
Empire. Care is needed of
underwater
rocks fringing the coast for up
to 100m off between the New and the Old harbour.
Day
4
Hydra Town (Hydra island -
15 nm) Hydra is perhaps the most
beautiful port village in whole of Greece. A tiny
harbor ringed with cafes, restaurants and gold
shops is surrounded by a village of stone houses
and villas that rise up the hills like an
amphitheatre. But one of the best things about
Hydra is that there are no cars. Everything is
moved by donkey, including groceries, building
supplies, people and their luggage.
