Coasting around the south coast the lighthouse on Ak. Spathi is conspicuous. Once at the entrance to Ormos Livadi the approach is straight forward. With the meltemi there can be strong gusts off the lee side of the island and in the immediate approaches to Livadi.

Anchor in the bay or go stern or bows to the jetty off the village on the SE side of the bay. In the summer when the meltemi is blowing the S side of the jetty is preferable. On the N side you will need a good anchor and all your chain as well as a bit of nerve when the meltemi gusts down into the bay. The bottom is sand and weed -mostly good holding.

When the ferry is not due yachts also go alongside or stern to the ferry quay.

Good shelter from the meltemi on the S side of the jetty and medium on the N side of it.

Ferry-boat connection to Athens and few of the Cycladic islands.
A road links Livadi to Hora (5 km). Regular bus service during summer.
Closest airport is at Athens.
