Parikia Port
on Paros
In the approaches to
Parikia there are a number of islands and
reefs encircling the bay. Care is
needed on these reefs and shoal water,
especially if you approach by night.
It is only recent (1999) when a ferry liner
crashed on these rocks and 480 people!! lost
their life. The white houses of
Parikia are easily seen once into the bay.
The harbour is easily identified when close
in.
Berth
stern or bows-to in the inner harbour or in calm weather off
the outside of the mole. The bottom is mud and weed,
mostly good holding.
Excellent shelter inside the harbour. If the inner harbour is
crowded and the meltemi makes berthing on the outside of the moles
impossible, it is best to anchor in one of the bays to the north of the
harbour...source & more info:

Connections
- Ferry-boat connection to Athens and most of the Cycladic islands.
- Caiques connection with Anti-Paros
- Roads links Parikia with all the villages and beaches of the
island. Regular bus service
during summer to most of them.
- Closest airport is Paros' airport (7 km) with internal Greek and
very few international flights. The airport is small and only the
smaller crafts can land here.
