Karavostasi
Port on Folegandros
Nisidhes Adelfia, the jagged islets lying E of Karavostasi are easily
recognised. Closer the white houses around the bay and a church are
also conspicuous.
Dangers: Care is needed of Ifalos Poulioxeres to the NNE of the
entrance and the reef running NE from the N entrance point to Karavostasi.
Go stern or bows-to the mole. When the w side of the ferry mole is
not in use a yacht can go alongside here overnight. The bottom is sand
and rock -poor holding in places.
Reasonable shelter from the meltemi, although a prolonged blow sets up a
surge in the bay, which make things uncomfortable though still tenable.source & more info:

Connections
- Ferry-boat connection to Athens, Ios and Milos
- A road links the port with Chora. Irregular bus service
- Closest airport is Santorini's airport with internal Greek and few
international flights. The airport is small and only the smaller crafts can
land here.
