Flotilla sailing

A small fleet of 6-12 yachts (usually 27 - 36 feet) sailing together as a group and escorted by a larger vessel and a lead crew, which provides assistance and guidance wherever needed.

Sidenote
Although by many is considered as a different type of yachting holiday, flotilla sailing is a bareboat, with the addition of a lead boat and crew.  You still charter the whole boat and you are fully responsible for the condition of your vessel.  You also need to leave a refundable security deposit.
