rates, for as long you book at a date very close to the departure of
the cruise. Reason for that is, that the cruise lines would
rather prefer to fill up their empty cabins -even at a discounted
rate- than to operate the cruise with empty berths available.
Another good source for "last minute cruises" are the
travel agents, especially the ones who pre-buy berths on a specific
cruise (at a discounted price of course) and then they try to
re-sell these berths or cabins to the public. Any tickets
unsold in their hands at the day the cruise starts is a "loss" for
them, therefore, just like the cruise lines, they will offer these
tickets, at a discounted rate, when the departure date is close.
In fact, this discount is higher as time limits for the cruise
departure shortens. |
