designed by architect Philippe Briand.
Performances and handling
The Sun odyssey 49 is a good sailor and
she can outmatch most of the charter
boats (older or newer) of her
size in sailing performances.
Fast when sailing in open courses
and capable of upright to a
wind-efficient angle against the
wind.
Handling is easy. All sheets,
winches and control panels are
brought back to the cockpit to
enable you to keep a perfect lookout
to sea and look after the sails
effortlessly.
Accommodation
The Sun Odyssey 49 is offered in two
versions, the owner's (3 cabins -
two heads) and the charter (4 cabins
- four heads). Jeanneau didn't fall in the trap of designing
the boat with a "skipper's" cabin in front (just like most of the
competition), so the extra space provided in the
saloon and the four
cabins (charter version) are making

Charter price
With charter price €4.400 per week, you will
find the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 rather
expensive to charter, above most of the
similar size vessels. Yet, this boat
is of high quality and certainly worth
the price.
