Oceanis 473 Clipper
|
Another successful Groupe Finot
design from Beneteau, the
Oceanis 473 Clipper targets the
family sailor who are looking for
comforts and ease in handling.
Performances and handling
The Oceanis 473 Clipper offers a
large cockpit and
features twin wheels. All lines are
lead back to the cockpit and the
main winches are situated near the
helms thereby facilitating
short-handed sailing. Two
drafts are proposed: 1m70 and 2m10.
The 2,10m give qualities of progress
better to all the points of sail.
Accommodation
Below on the Beneteau 473, side and forward ports make
for a light and airy saloon. Forward
of the two aft cabins, there's a
linear shaped
galley to starboard and
nav station to port. Just ahead of the
chart-table is a
U-shaped
settee and table. The forward cabin has an island-queen berth
with seats on port side, hanging locker and ensuite
facility or, two mirror double
berthed cabins in the
charter version.

Priced at €4.200 per week the comparison
with 47 footers of the same age shows her
expensive... BUT, the Oceanis 473 with LWL
(water line length) of 13,35m. is actually
larger than many "so called" 52-footers.
A price comparison with these vessels gives
her an average pricing rate.
