Another successful Groupe Finot
design from Beneteau, the
Oceanis 423 Clipper targets the
family sailor who are looking for
comforts and ease in handling.
This model is also in production
from Beneteau USA under the name
Beneteau 423.
Performances and handling
The Oceanis 423 Clipper offers a large cockpit
with folding table.
2 side lockers and 2 aft lockers. A
hinged helmsman seat and transom
gate provide easier access to the
skirt.
The standard boat
has two self-tailing Lewmar sheet
winches and two self-tailing winches
on either side of the companionway
for halyards, mainsail control lines
and the main sheet. Also, a
140% genoa on furling system
with the drum above the deck and
either, an in-mast furling mechanism
or a semi-full batten main sail with
lazy jacks and cover.
Accommodation Down below, side and forward ports make
for a light and airy
saloon (over
2m. height). In the
3 and 4-cabin version, forward
of the two aft cabins are the two
