Nautitech
44
|
As with the Nautitech 40 and 47,
the 44 comes from the drawing board
of the firm of naval architects
Mortain and Mavrikios and adopts the elements which
proved to be successful: two wheel
helms, rigid bimini top with opening
hood,
saloon-cockpit on the same
level and functional accommodation.
Performances and handling
From its
twin stern steering stations, the helmsman can
feel the wind, and sail controls are
easy to reach. A good view can be
had from either helm, and although
the helmsman is exposed, he or she
can retreat inboard with an
autopilot remote.
Such an
arrangement permits a
fixed canopy
that extends the sweeping lines of
the bridge deck saloon and shades the
cockpit.
Accommodation
The
galley is "up," at the aft
side of the saloon, and communicates
directly between the cockpit seating and the
saloon's broad,
U-shaped dining area.
The port hull has two
spacious
cabins, each with a
queen-size |

berth
and a private head, while the starboard hull
can be similarly configured (in the
charter version) or made into a
suite (owner's version). Both hulls
have extra berths in their peaks, bringing
the total capacity in 10 berths.
Charter price
The charter price €6.300 per week might
sound expensive, but all the catamarans of
the same age and size are in similar price.
A large family or group (8-10 persons) will
certainly enjoy the facilities and luxury
this cat offers.
