Nautitech
40
Nautitech 40 is the first model
the company built after they gain
their independency -in 1992- from
Dufour Group. The model has
undergone
constant improvements since then. In
2005 her new deck has been improved
with more
comfortable helming stations, larger galley, sunk-in hob and oven,
companionway steps between helming stations
and cockpit, icebox in the cockpit, lower
bunk height, more stowage in the galley and
saloon …
Performances and handling
The boat performs like all
catamarans of her size. Very
fast in open courses, reasonable
with the wind in the nose and facing
problems downwind. She can
achieve its maximum speed when its
forward motion is not unduly
disturbed by wave action.
Nautitech’s
proposal is to unify the topsides by
seamlessly blending the
coachroof
into the hard cockpit roof. As with
all designs, a compromise was
required. Instead of having a single
helm station on the back of the
coachroof (with the requisite
visibility forward created by a
separate, slightly higher cockpit
roof), this cat uses dual helm
stations aft on each hull to provide
visibility. |

Accommodation The Nautitech 40 has a large
panoramic view windshield, while a
sliding picture window offer easy access
from the saloon to the cockpit.
The charter version offers a
4-cabin layout
with extra berths in their peaks.
The port hull has two
spacious
cabins, each with a queen-size berth sharing
a head with shower in the sidewalk passage, while the starboard hull can
be similarly configured or made into a suite
in the
owner's version. The engines are in separate
compartments aft, accessed through deck
hatches.
Charter price
The price of €4.820 commended for a week
charter in the peak season is very good.
This boat is a good choice for the charterer
with a large group, who likes to sail in
shelter waters.
