Lavezzi
40
|
Fountaine Pajot has extensive
experience in voyaging catamarans,
and the Lavezzi 40 shows that
heritage. This is a substantial
cruiser with good performance and
spacious accommodations.
Performances and handling
In 10 to 12 knots of wind, she can
reach 6 to 7 knots of boat-speed, with easy
steering, straight tracking, and
pleasant response when tacking. The
rudder feel is neutral. Skippers of
all heights should find visibility
excellent from the
wheel, and the
windshield does its job well. The
motion is easy in smooth
conditions.
Accommodation
The port hull
aft cabin has a double
berth to fore and aft, shelving
above the berth outboard and
cupboards inboard. Forward of the
berth and inboard is a large hanging
locker. The port hull head unit is
located inboard of the
walkway
between the aft cabin and the
forecabin. The
forward cabin has a
double berth to fore and aft, a
hanging locker aft to inboard and
shelving outboard. The
starboard hull can be similarly configured or made into a suite in the
owner's
version. |
