Harmony
47
|
The Harmony 47 is a conception
of Olivier Poncin when the design
comes from the desk of Mortain &
Mavrikios. The boat is a fast
cruiser targeting the chartering
market aswell.
Performances and handling
In the cockpit, she is appointed
with one steering station only with
navigation instruments nearby for
ease of handling. The main
sail on most of the yachts is the
traditional fully battened main
-without a rolling mechanism.
This might keep happy the fanatic
sailors but will put off the average
charterer.
Accommodation
Down below, the interior
of the Harmony 47 is highlighted
with
light coloured select hardwood, stainless steel
and white melamine. The result
is a very bright saloon (too bright,
as I prefer a "woody" look when in a
boat), but of course this is only my
personal taste.
Forward of the two
aft cabins,
there's the head with shower to starboard
and the
nav station to port. Just ahead of the
head is the
linear shaped galley with a
U-shaped setee and table

starboard. The forward compartment has a
twin cabin
(upper/lower berths) to port, the second
head to starboard and a
forward cabin with a
double v-berth.
Charter price
The charter price, at €3.600 per week, is
excellent compared with vessels of the same
age and size. This boat is a very good
choice for a large family or a group up to 8
guests.
