Moorings expansion
|
The Moorings announced the expansion of its worldwide cruising
destinations to include Scandinavia with the addition of
Midnight Sun Sailing as a Moorings Preferred Partner. This
will add five new locations in Sweden and Finland for Moorings
sailors. The new locations offered by The Moorings in
Finland will be located in Helsinki, Airisto and Taalintehdas.
There will also be a base near Stockholm, Sweden and one in the
Aland Islands.
Midnight Sun Sailing based in Taalintehdas, Finland has become
the second Moorings Preferred Partner. "Midnight Sun Sailing is
the undisputed charter
industry leader in Finland and Sweden with five bases and over
60 yachts. They have built this reputation over 15 years
of excellent service to their
customers," commented Raul Bermudez, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for The Moorings. |

"We are very proud to offer
the beautiful cruising grounds of this area to our customers
through such a quality company".
"We are equally
excited to become a member of The Moorings family through The
Moorings Preferred Partners program"
commented Juha Hurme of
Midnight Sun Sailing. "It was a natural fit with The
Moorings given their reputation as the premier yacht charter
company in the world. We are excited to offer the waters
of the midnight sun to Moorings customers worldwide as well as
provide access for our local sailors to the 37 destinations
offered by The Moorings."
The Sea of
Archipelago Boating Paradise
There are over 50,000 islands that are awaiting exploration
throughout this cruising area, whether you begin your trip from
one of four locations in
Finland and the Aland Islands or from Sweden. In Turku,
Aland and the Stockholm archipelagos alone you will find
hundreds of harbours and islands to
explore. The Moorings will offer 60 yachts ranging in size
from 31-ft to 51-ft monohulls and 38-ft catamarans.
One-way charters are also available
between the locations in Finland and Sweden.
Twisted rope should be put into round coils. Right-laid rope, as
most twisted rope is, should be wound clockwise, while left-laid
rope should be wound counter clockwise. Preserving the lay of
the rope in this way will make for line that coils easily and
plays out smoothly.Source:
