North Corfu 1 week flotilla itinerary

The following harbours are the Ports of Call we usually visit in one week's trip.  Yet, the itinerary might vary due to weather conditions and other factors beyond our control.

The final decision for the day's program will always be taken from your leader skipper, who will brief you on relevant points of navigation, suggest lunch stops and details for the evening's rendezvous.

Day 1  Gouvia marina - arrival day

        Corfu island

Corfu town
Arriving at Gouvia Marina you will be met by the flotilla crew who will get to know you -and vice versa- and hand over your yacht.  After the check-in, depending upon the time of your arrival, you can do some shopping rest or go for a swim.  In the evening you will have your first dinner together, with the other members of the flotilla so that introductions can be made, in one of the local taverns in Kontokali village, which is located right outside of Gouvia marina.

Day 2   Gouvia marina - Agni Bay (8 nm)
Agni Bay
After the skipper's briefing (not very early) you set sail for Agni Bay, a small village on mainland Greece.
Agni means un-spoilt in Greek and this describes the bay perfectly. Situated on the North East Coast set amongst the olive groves growing either side of the bay.  It is not a 'resort' as there are just three tavernas (each with their own jetty for mooring up to) and a couple of local buildings. The bay is reached mainly by little rented motor boats. Yachts and large motor cruisers also frequent this little bay.

Day 3  Agni Bay - Sayada  (10 nm)
Sayada Port
From Agni bay you will sail across to Sayada village in mainland Epirus.  Sayada is a friendly little village untouched by tourism.  The local tavernas are recommended as a good place to eat fresh prawns and fish at good prices.

Day 4   Sayada - Agios Stefanos (12 nm)
Agios Stefanos - Corfu
Again the passage across to Corfu, to the picturesque village of Ag. Stefanos,
a small inlet in the North Corfu Channel.  Although a number of holiday villas have been built here, the bay retains a calm and beauty well worth the stop for the night.

Day 5    Agios Stefanos - Mourtos (Sivota) (24 nm)

Mourtos - Sivota
On the very next morning you set sail for Mourtos, a small village on mainland Greece, hidden behind a group of tiny islands, called Sivota.  Mourtos has a beautiful boulevard and a number of terraces along with to stroll, take a cold drink and admire one of the most beautiful sunsets in the area.

 Day 6   Mourtos - Petriti  (9 nm)
Petriti
Our return to the shores of Corfu starts with the authentic fishing village of Petriti.  You can watch the fishermen sailing out in the evening and returning the next morning with that night's catch.  Dinner at the local taverns is always accompanied with one -maybe two- glasses of ouzo, the local aperitif.

Day 7  Petriti - Gouvia marina  (18 nm)

Regrettably, the last sailing day has come and you sail back to Gouvia marina, where we tie up at the same place from where we had departed two weeks ago.  On the way there, are many bays to stop for that  last lunch and swim in the Ionian Sea.

Note
Two week sailors will not return to Gouvia Marina, but they will enjoy a free day.  You will meet with the flotilla again on the next day and sail the South Corfu itinerary for the next week.
