Budget boats
On
the charter market there is a number of vessels,
older in age, but still in use and preferred by
several sailors. Reason for that is the
success of the model when she was originally
designed and other minor factors. As an
example, the Sun Magic 44 model by Jeanneau,
designed in 1988, is still offered by many
agencies/owners and has fanatical charterers. Since these boats are
older than the usual charter vessels, their
charter price is relatively cheap and that's
what we call budget yacht.
If you can find a well maintained and
equipped budget boat you may enjoy a "best
value for money" sailing holiday. The cost
to charter such a boat is considerably lower than the similar size
vessels, yet the enjoyment they offer is
practically the same. |
